Free Comic Book Script - Child Killer by Stephen Sonneveld
Theme: Crom Myth
8 Pages
Child Killer Summary:
Crom is mistakenly believed to be hunting a child killer but soon learns the truth: a young girl named Jebba stabbed Ramb’s son, Tanzen, after enduring relentless abuse no one believed. Crom finds the traumatized girl hiding in the woods, comforts her, and returns her to her devastated but loving parents.
When the grieving Ramb and his hunting party arrive, demanding vengeance, Crom defends Jebba and reveals the village’s collective failure—they ignored signs of Tanzen’s sadism, which led to tragedy for both children. The mob is stunned as Crom holds them accountable, forcing them to pay restitution from their promised reward and gives Jebba’s family their home so they can start anew elsewhere.
Crom’s final act is to strike Ramb, not out of rage, but as retribution for the pain his son caused, while still expressing sympathy for Ramb’s loss. Crom reminds them all: two children were failed, and both truths—guilt and grief—can exist simultaneously.
