Free Comic Book Script - The Nihilists by Stephen Sonneveld
Theme: Crom Myth
19 Pages
The Nihilists Summary:
Crom reunites with the remorseless killer Brielle to lead a genocidal campaign against a fanatical, supremacist tribe known as the Nihilists, who see all others as subhuman and kill even children without remorse. Though Crom loathes war, he believes exterminating this people is the only way to end their violent ideology.
Brielle and Crom clash over morality—she enjoys killing without justification, while he bears the emotional toll of violence. The upcoming battle is depicted in a psychological storm of imagery, as Crom’s internal monologue disintegrates into madness, symbols, and chaos. After the bloodbath, Crom and Brielle—naked and bloodied—have intense, savage sex atop a field of corpses.
But Crom, realizing Brielle is too far gone and revels in the destruction, impales her mid-embrace, choosing to kill the last remnant of amorality in his presence. In the end, Crom drops his sword and walks away from the carnage—flaccid in body, but upright in spirit—seeking a future that might transcend endless war.
